A Fantastic Start for Cast Fluid Power

Our Managing Director, Ian Watts reflects back on the first year of the business and what the future holds.

Well, what can I say!? For our first year in business, we have done exceptionally well and continue to build our brand and customer base.  As a company, Cast Fluid Power is gaining recognition within the Bristol area at a rapid pace. Having opened our depot last April, we are gaining new customers every week, and they have quickly become loyal regulars.

Having started this business journey post-pandemic, we have built up special relationships with customers and suppliers alike. This week marks one year of trading with you, but it feels like we’ve been here forever.  This is only the first of many milestones, and with the support of our valued customers we plan on enhancing our services and growing our business further. I couldn’t have done this without the support of our customers ranging from the people coming in for help in repairing their pressure washer hoses, to the larger companies relying on us to supply vital parts for planes and trains.  For their support I’m eternally thankful for helping our business consistently hit our targets and exceed our initial target figures, but also to progress and thrive in this industry.  I’m also very grateful for all my employees, past and present, who play such an integral part in our company’s successful journey.

In terms of what we did over the past year, we’ve done lots on supplying the test rig at the fuel test facility for Airbus. We have built up strong connections with companies in the aerospace industry, and also the Bristol railway industry. For GWR, we made platforms for the side pits at the St Phillips Marsh maintenance depot to help stop people from falling in while working, and we also produced some spring rewind fuel and air hose reels, which are used to alleviate slips, trips, and falls in their trade workshops and HST workshops.
